About Us

About GoKart Transportation

GoKart Transportation is a Delaware-based student transportation company. We get students to
school and home again safely, on routes that school districts and their transportation partners
trust us with every school day.

We are not a bus company. Our drivers use their own cars, SUVs and minivans on small, assigned
school-day routes — which is what makes us a good fit for the trips a full-size vehicle cannot
serve well: individual routes, out-of-district placements, and students who need a consistent driver
and a predictable ride.

Where we operate

We serve districts in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Florida and
Michigan, working as a service partner to the transportation brokers that hold those
district contracts.

Safety is the whole job

Every GoKart driver clears a criminal background check, a motor vehicle record review, verified
personal auto insurance, a verified driver’s licence, and an assessed English proficiency test
before their first route. Drug screening is required in the markets whose contracts call for it.
Vehicles must be model year 2016 or newer.

These are not aspirations. Each one is a document we have to hold on file before a driver is
allowed to take a student anywhere, and a driver who is missing one does not drive.

Consistency matters more than scale

A student who needs transportation to school needs it every single school day, on time, with a
driver who knows the route. We would rather run a route well than run more of them badly, so we
staff to the routes we can genuinely cover and we keep drivers on the same runs wherever we can.

Work with us

If you are a district or transportation coordinator with a route we might be able to help with,
